Sometimes you only have a minute. Use it wisely. This simple breathing or pranayama practice can really help to calm the mind and find a sense of balance when things become a little bit too much to handle.
The light in summer is different. It has a restorative quality. It helps to recharge and rebalance. It warms and soothes body. It illuminates even the darkest corners of the mind.
Take a comfortable seat. Place your hands, one over the other, at the centre of your chest. Breathe into your hands. With each deep breath visualise a bright warm light filling the space around the heart centre. Bathe yourself in this soothing luminosity for one minute. Allow your breath to return to normal. Observe how you feel and carry that feeling with you though the day.
