It almost (yes almost) felt like summer this weekend so I am channeling my inner sun worshiper with this iced matcha latte. I use white matcha powder but green works just as well. Matcha is a powdered concentrated version of regular white or green tea. It is rich in antioxidants and provides a caffeine kick without the post coffee crash.
Ingredients: 1 teaspoon white matcha tea 1/4 frozen banana 1 cup of almond milk Pinch of cinnamon Ice
Add a little hot water to the matcha powder and mix into a smooth paste. Blitz the tea paste, a few slices of frozen banana (depending on how sweet you like your tea), the almond milk and cinnamon in a blender until you have a creamy frothy mixture. Serve over ice.
If it's too cold for the iced version forgot the ice and gently heat the almond milk. Take care not to boil nut milk as it tends to split.
